Vision

  • We think that vocational schools should cost under $5,000 and not $20,000.
  • The school should take place in the future place of employment where the students will receive more hands-on training.
  • Running a vocational school requires a significant amount of time and knowledge. We feel that you need a partner to run the school so you can focus on your primary business.
  • We think the combination of more hands-on training and comprehensive internet training offers the best value to the student.
  • Having a school in your office will allow you to select the finest students out of each class for future employees.
  • Utilize your office space when your office is closed (Friday or Saturday).
  • Earn passive income each month while we handle all the operations.
  • We run all operations of the school. We hire and fire the staff, answer the phones, handle all government compliance and handle the    finances. You name it, we do it.
  • Focus on running your office and not on the operation of the school.
    • We cover all start-up expenses.
    • We split the profits with you 50-50.
    • Students will, on average, pay 1/5 the cost of comparable large schools.
    • Students will receive a great education and will start a rewarding career.

    How it Works

We're looking for partners that would like to generate extra income by allowing us use of their facilities to operate a Dental Assistant School on the off hours of their practice. We provide all start up costs.

The class takes place over 12 scheduled days. Class days are determined based on when your office is closed and has available staff to manage the school. Classes are taught by one of your Dental Assistants or Hygienists. Your employee is on our clock during this time so as not to cause you any HR headaches or overtime issues. The class days are most commonly held on Saturdays but we do offer a Friday class as well, depending on demand in your area.

We use an Educational Portal where your students and staff will log on to receive instructor training as well as class room lectures, power points and any other information for the class days. The instructors receive training from our Education Coordinator and must have at least five years experience to teach our program.

You can be involved as much as you like. We have some doctors that want to teach the course, however, most choose not to. We find that most doctors enjoy their time off, thus, allowing the school to be managed by their trusted staff with us overseeing the day-to-day operations.

Our goal is to minimize day-to-day operations during your practice hours. We answer the phones and handle the school's finances. We also have a keen marketing plan that will fill up your classes with pre-qualified students.

The next step? Fill out the form on the "Request an Evaluation" section and it will be processed in the next five business days. We will then contact you and, if you're approved, we'll start the process of creating extra income on your days off!

    FAQ

    • This sounds too good to be true. Do I have to invest any money?
      • No. We cover all start up costs.
    • How are the profits split up?
      • The profits will be split 50-50.
    • When will I receive the profits?
      • At the end of every quarter we will calculate the profit or loss for your school. If there is a profit, it will be split 50-50 and the money will flow to you and to the Vandelay corporate account. You can select to have your check sent to you personally or to your practice. 45 days after a fiscal quarter you will receive a report detailing the profit for the quarter. The quarterly profit will be split into three payments. The first payment will come with that report (if there is a profit.) The other two payments will be sent on the 15th of the next two months. As long as each quarter produces a profit you should get a check every month.
    • What happens if the school loses money for the quarter?
      • Any losses will be carried over to the next quarter and will be deducted from the next quarter profits.
    • How much does it cost to open the school?
      • There are many costs to open a school. Some of our competitors can charge up to $40,000, but because we're different, we expect that the loan will be less than $10,000.
    • Where does the money come from to start the school?
      • There are many costs associated with the start of the school. Vandelay Education, LLC will pay for all costs. You will pay nothing.
    • What happens to the money that Vandelay invests at the start of the school?
      • Any funds Vandelay invests to start the school will be entered as a loan. The school will pay this loan back, with no interest.
    • When will the loan be paid back?
      • The loan is paid back before any profits are distributed.
    • Will I be responsible for the start-up loan from Vandelay if the school does not operate successfully?
      • You will not be held responsible if the school is shut down by Vandelay for not operating successfully.
    • What happens if the school hits hard times and needs more capital?
      • Vandelay will consider adding more capital or shutting the school down. If we decide to add more capital, then it will be in the form or an interest free loan that will be repaid similar to the start-up loan. The Doctor never pays anything.
    • What comes first, repayment of the start-up loan or distribution of profits to the Doctor and Vandelay?
      • The start-up loan is repaid first.
    • What is the management expense?
      • The management expense is the expense that it takes to run the school from the corporate level.
    • How is the management expense calculated?
      • We have many schools that we will manage and all expenses for the management of the schools will be proportionally split up between them. For example: Assume that we have 4 schools that we manage. The cost of the management company that corresponds to the state, answers phones and runs the schools has a cost of $10,000 per month. For the month of January, School A has $30,000 in revenue, School B has $20,000 in revenue, School C has $40,000 in revenue, and School D has $10,000 in revenue. The combined management expense will be split proportionally amongst all schools. So School A is invoiced $3,000, School B is invoiced $2,000, School C is invoiced $4,000, and School D is invoiced $1,000.
    • Is the management expense a profit?
      • No. It is an expense incurred at the corporate level that is passed on to the school.
    • How are class supplies accounted for?
      • Vandelay buys all major supplies. We will stock everything that we need to operate the school.
    • When is revenue recognized per student?
      • There are complicated reserve rules that we must comply with for the state refund policy. In order for us to comply we can’t recognize revenue until a student is done with their class. We recognize 1/3 of the student’s tuition during the first full month of operation, 1/3 the 2nd month, and 1/3 the 3rd month. Following this format we ensure that we always have enough cash to issue full refunds, if necessary.
    • Will this create more work for my office manager?
      • No. We do all the training of staff and handle all paperwork and all HR duties.
    • Will I be guaranteed a profit?
      • No, but we are confident you can make $25,000 to $100,000 extra per year.
